Walked in today to buy a few items. The female checkout person (dark hair) never said hello or goodbye when I checked out. Not a friendly place to be I guess. Had a problem with one of the guys who was assisting with paint once too. What a shame, because it's on the Island and close by. The Home Depot is a few more miles away and has a welcoming and helpful atmosphere. I guess it might be worth the few extra miles.
I'm so thankful to have such a great Hardware store on the Island! The selection is very good for such a small store, and the prices are fair. Steve is great and has been there a long time and is very knowledgeable. The seasonal help is pleasant but not overly friendly and outgoing. But, they do try to help when I ask.
As a longtime Grand Island resident, I have the option of going to Home Depot or Gui's. As much as possible, I go to Gui's for my hardware needs. It has just about everything you need, and now that they are partnered with Ace Hardware, the prices and deals are great. They generally go out of their way to ask if I need help and are very knowledgeable. This is a good business.
Very disappointed. One of their employees which I asked for his name, Joshua p, was very sarcastic when I asked for help. He made me feel like I was stupid for asking a question that I didn't know. No one there seemed like they wanted to be there or help anyone and I will never go there again!!!!
